In this webinar, attendees will learn about the services provided by the NC State Crime Lab Drug Chemistry section. The presenter will explain evidence submission criteria, and best practices for submitting drug evidence to the crime laboratory. This information will help attorneys and legal teams better understand how the lab determines which items to test. In addition, an overview of how a case is worked as well as sampling and reporting will be provided.
Each webinar from July-December 2025 will be taught by a State Crime Lab scientist and focus on the testing done by the laboratory in their particular discipline. Topics will include drug chemistry, toxicology, trace evidence, digital evidence, DNA, firearms, and latent evidence.
