Shuchin Shukla, MD, MPH completed his medical and public health degrees at Tulane University, followed by a residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. Board certified in both family medicine and addiction medicine, Dr. Shukla has led numerous population-based initiatives focused on overdose, addiction, HIV, Hepatitis C, and carceral health. Currently, he works as the Senior Medical Director for Steadfast Health, an addiction treatment provider. He also serves as Chief Medical Officer for Goldie Health, which designs case management software for post-overdose response teams. Additionally, Dr. Shukla consults for the North Carolina Technical Assistance Center—a state-funded consortium focused on addiction in the criminal legal system—and serves as the medical director for both the Greenville and Goldsboro Comprehensive Treatment Centers.
