Dr. Contreras-Gonzalez, Psy.D., serves as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Dr. Long & Associates and completes independent contractual forensic work from Washington, DC in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. She additionally holds interjurisdictional practice authority (PsyPact), enabling her to conduct telepsychological evaluations for clients located in 43 states and jurisdictions, including North Carolina and is available to travel to NC for testimony. She brings integrated expertise in forensic psychology, trauma-informed care, and bicultural mental health, with a deep commitment to serving culturally and linguistically diverse populations within complex legal systems. A native Spanish speaker, she conducts bilingual (English/Spanish) interviews and assessments directly, without reliance on an interpreter. Dr. Contreras-Gonzalez conducts comprehensive, court-ordered evaluations in both criminal and civil contexts including competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, violence and sex offender risk, as well as immigration, family law, and juvenile justice matters.
