Dr. Landis was involved in the forensic evaluation program of the federal Bureau of Prisons for nearly 30 years and retired as Chief of Psychology Services at the Federal Correctional Complex in Butner. He is certified in Forensic Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Landis is the co-author of Law for the Psychotherapist, published by W.W. Norton and has provided numerous seminars for attorneys, judges and mental health professionals regarding criminal forensic psychology issues, including competence to proceed and restoration of competence, mental state issues, risk assessment, and civil issues including involuntary commitment and psychiatric disability.
